Unleashing Creativity: Explorations in Writing offers students supportive, affirming community to develop independent writing projects that express their unique interests and curiosities in any combination of genres including research-based writing, non-fiction, fiction, and poetry. Students will work independently, together, and with tutors in the Evergreen Writing Center to learn to offer and receive responsive feedback. The community will meet via Zoom weekly and every other week individually with Professor Yannone. Students also will have the option to participate in a weekly on-line reading series.
Students working on an 8 credit project should expect to spend 20 hours a week on their writing; those working on a 4 credit project should expect to spend 10. All students are expected to attend weekly synchronous sessions. Students will need access to a computer with internet access and a telephone.
