This summer class will offer students the chance to develop their skills in Evergreen's photography studio. This includes the use of the studio's large space, backdrops, forms of light diffusion, and most critically, the studio's strobe lighting and continuous LED lighting. Students will learn by producing a number of studio-based images, such as portraits (figurative lighting more generally), still lifes, narrative tableaux, and more. Students will learn to use DSLRs and medium-format film cameras in order to make the most of the level of technical and creative control in a studio environment.

This offering will prepare you for careers and advanced study in:

Photography, Visual Arts, Media Production
