The changing nature of work has increased the demand for human capacity, taxing individuals' inner resources (i.e, motivation, attention, and resilience ). Positive Coaching Psychology (PCP) helps individuals increase well-being, enhance and apply strengths, improve performance, and achieve personal and professional goals. In this course, students learn key psychological theories and concepts that are applied to the practice of Positive Coaching Psychology and use them to grow and develop themselves and others. This course uses seminars, group activities, reflection assignments, and final projects to help students bridge theory and practice and gain the skills, knowledge, and competencies to become more effective managers and leaders.
This course will be delivered remotely with classes conducted synchronously via Zoom. Students are required to have a computer and Internet to access Canvas and Zoom to complete this course. If students find themselves unable to participate due to technology, caregiving obligations, economic disruption, health risk, or illness, they can work with faculty to pursue alternate options to earn related credit.
