Learn to use light, sound, motion, and/or interaction in art pieces. We’ll get acquainted with 3D printing, digital fabrication, circuit design, and introductory programming of micro-controllers for projects in fine and performing arts. Students will work on projects and prototypes to design, wire, and program devices that result in designed experiences of made physical things.
To successfully participate in this program, students will need a computer with Mac, PC, or Linux OS, a reliable internet connection, ability to order supplies, and a well lit workspace. Students can expect our remote teaching to be around 3 hours of synchronous (scheduled) coursework per week, using Zoom and Canvas. Students will have access to alternatives to synchronous participation if conditions require.
