Physical Computing in the Arts

Explore digital creation of, and interaction with, physical things. We'll use 3D printing, microcontrollers, and maker skills for projects in fine and performing arts of any field. Our main platform will be the Arduino ecosystem; we'll learn the basics of electronics, robotics, and digital crafting in addition to basic programming of the Arduino microcontrollers. Students will work on projects that use light, sound, motion, and/or interactivity. No programming experience is required.
This course is repeated Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters. Students should not register for more than one quarter.
