Emotions play powerful role in communication and leadership. They influence our decisions and actions and help us build positive and productive relationships. Emotionally intelligent and effective managers leverage emotions as social capital to build trust, lead change and develop high performance teams and organizations. High emotional intelligence (EI) has been shown to be a good predictor of leadership success. The primary objective of this course is to help students learn EI theories and best practices and develop skills and competencies necessary to become more effective leaders in today’s diverse organizations.
