Music Fundamentals offers students an opportunity to learn the basics of reading music.  Beginning with notation of pitch and rhythm this class will progress to working through key signatures, scales, intervals and chords. Intended for students with little or no prior knowledge of music theory, this course provides focused work toward understanding the importance of the relationship between analysis and synthesis – one of the six expectations of Evergreen graduates.

This course will begin Week 2 to accommodate students who need to change their registration after the quarter has started.
