Today’s business world is radically different from the organizations of the past. Organizational leaders are facing unprecedented challenges (i.e., technological, global, political, legal, generational, etc.). Organizational leaders, therefore, must be able to change, adapt, and create cultures that are positive, resilient, and nimble. In this course, students will learn to become effective leaders and make a difference in their work community. Topics covered in this class include strategic thinking, organizational culture, creativity and innovation, change management, resiliency, and organizational agility. This class provides students with the opportunity to think critically, reflect, collaborate, and learn through individual and group activities including assessments, cases, discussions and seminars, and research and team projects.
This course will be delivered remotely with classes conducted synchronously via Zoom. Students are required to have a computer and Internet to access Canvas and Zoom to complete this course. If students find themselves unable to participate due to technology, caregiving obligations, economic disruption, health risk, or illness, they can work with faculty to pursue alternate options to earn related credit.
