Japanese - Second Year III
Second Year Japanese III is part of a yearlong sequence and covers the third and final part of the second-year-level Japanese language studies. Students must be familiar with basic verb forms and elementary kanji letters. Students will build on previous skills and learn new grammar and vocabulary so they can function in a variety of situations. Class activities will include presentations and discussion on Japanese culture and life. The class is conducted primarily in Japanese.
Students who have already completed two years of Japanese may join this class and study at the third year level.
To successfully participate in this course students need to have a computer with a camera, internet access, and the required textbook/workbook. Students will spend 2 hours per week (1 hour each on Tuesday and Thursday) in synchronous meetings using Zoom and additional 2-3 hours of asynchronous learning for preparation and review.
This is a good preparatory course for students interested in participating in Evergreen's exchange program with University of Miyazaki or University of Hyogo in Japan.
