In this course, we will study three classes of macromolecules found in all living organisms: proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids.  Our primary focus will be on understanding their chemical structures and biological functions in cells.  Program activities will include lectures and problem-solving workshops, which will occur via synchronous Zoom sessions.  Student learning will be assessed by weekly homework assignments and exams.

This course will begin Week 2 to accommodate students who need to change their registration after the quarter has started.
