For the last 30 plus years, research studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of mindfulness approaches for treating many clinical conditions such as chronic pain, recurrent major depression, anxiety/stress, eating disorder and other health conditions. Researchers have also found them to be effective as a method for broadening and cultivating positive human qualities, personal growth and professional development.
This course will emphasize the theory, practice, research, especially applying mindfulness as a clinical tool as well as method of professional self-care.
