Drums & Painting: Native Pathways Program

NPP Drums & Painting is a course offered through the Native Pathways Program curriculum to teach students the process of making Native hand drums, while acknowledging the cultural relevance and purpose of the drum. Students will practice design creation and paint their design onto their drum. The Painting portion will explore the history of color use, paint making, and design process. This course happens over 3 Saturdays (October 6, November 3, and December 8) plus 2 Sundays (November 4 and December 9). Students must be present on the first day (October 6) to not be dropped from the course. There is a fee associated for the drum and paint materials.
Credits per quarter
- No Required Online Learning - No access to web tools required. Any web tools provided are optional.
$35 Fee is for Drum Making kit and painting/art supplies associated with course.
