Computer Musicianship introduces students to the tools of digital music production.  Students will create original pieces of music using Ableton Live as a toolkit for sequencing MIDI, controlling software instruments, and arranging musical compositions.  Throughout the quarter, students will learn the craft of the computer musician, developing music theory foundations alongside digital audio techniques such as sampling, synthesis, and mixing.  Preference is given to students continuing from Introduction To Electronics in Music.
