Historically, organizations have used a multitude of performance management methodologies and systems to manage employee performance and behavior with mixed results. The majority was shown to lack timeliness, appropriate support, meaningful feedback, fairness and equity, and focus on employee development. Coaching in the workplace, on the other hand, is a powerful process that focuses on improving individual performance, collaboration and partnership, timely and meaningful feedback and career and personal development. In this course, students will discover the imperative of coaching in recruiting, developing, retaining, and engaging their human capital to achieve their mission and vision.
This course will be delivered remotely. The offering will include lectures, workshops, and seminars.Our approach willemphasize participation in synchronous (Zoom) sessions;howeverif students find themselves unable to participate due to technology, caregiving obligations, economic disruption, health risk, or illness, they can work with faculty to pursue alternate options to earn related credit.,
