This program exploresthe sonic aspects of production for film, television, gaming, multimedia and commercials. Hands on training in the art of Foley, audio dialogue replacement, overdubbing, sound design, surround sound techniques, sound editing, film mixing, music supervision, film composition, and location sound will be explored.  The Evergreen State College is a Wwise (sound design software for interactive media) certified school and a pathway to Wwise certification will be explored in the class using non-linear approaches to audio-visual editing. By the end of the program students will have a greater understanding of the post production process, roles, and professional applications.

This offering will prepare you for careers and advanced study in:

Audio Engineering, Sound Design, Foley, Postproduction Audio, Rerecording Mixing, Sound Editing.
