Are you preparing for a healthcare career or just curious about the body you live in? This class builds upon the first session counterpart with continued study of the structures and unique functions of the human body systems. Topics covered this session include the endocrine, reproductive, cardiovascular, lymphatic & immune, respiratory, digestive, and urinary systems. An emphasis will be placed on real-world application of knowledge gained for each system. Laboratory experiences include the use of Biopac physiology software, anatomical models, synthetic blood typing and dissections of the heart and fetal pig to locate and visualize organs. Upon completion students will gain an even greater appreciation of the complexity and wonder of the human body.
