In 2005 the United Nations established International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which is held annually on January 27. Evergreen will remember the Holocaust this year with a film and discussion. The film "America and the Holocaust: Deceit and Indifference" is available HERE on our library's Alexander Street video streaming platform. The film focuses on the U.S. government's policy of preventing thousands of Jews fleeing persecution in Europe from immigrating to the United States. Screen the film on your own, and then on Thursday, January 26 meet in (place TBA) at 6:00 p.m. for a discussion. HERE IS THE ZOOM LINK for people who can't attend in person.
