The Trans and Queer Center is thrilled to host Lavender Graduation for the class of 2018, on June 13, from 3pm to 5:30pm at the Sgʷigʷialʔtxʷ: House of Welcome (also known as the Longhouse)!
This event is designed for Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming, Queer, Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, Agender and LGBT identified students to be recognized for their academic achievements and to be in community with their families, friends, and campus community, on this very special time of the academic year.
Students, below are some important tasks for Lavender Graduation:
- Register to participate in Lavender Graduation. There are only 50 spots available for this year’s Lavender Graduation ceremony, so please sign up ASAP. The deadline to register is May 31 at 11:59pm!
Lastly, this event is going to be held at the Longhouse, and we request all participants to respect the space by practicing sobriety in the space, refraining from using substances and smoking and/or vaping on the premises. The TQC is committed to carrying out the intentions of the Longhouse and we ask all people attending Lavender Graduation to do the same!
