Faculty: Support Across the Curriculum

Part of the Writing Center's central work is supporting Core and All-Level programs across Evergreen's curriculum. Faculty may request that program tutors be assigned to their programs. Priority in assigning tutors is given first to Core programs, then to all-level programs and programs with a substantial writing component. The role of program tutors is to assist students in navigating the writing process.

In addition, the Writing Center offers a variety of workshops that can be integrated into any program's curricula and tailored to a program's specific needs. Descriptions of all available workshops are available through the Writing Workshops section on this web site, and requesting workshops is easily done using our Workshop Request Form.

Even if a program isn't Core or All-Level, the Writing Center can still assist students through regularly scheduled tutoring sessions and workshops facilitated by the Center.

In addition, the Writing Center Director is available for consultation on writing effective assignments, devising strategies for reading student assignments, and using writing as a tool for critical reflection, and working with students who have significant developmental writing needs. Additional services are also available upon request.

Don't hesitate to contact the Director with any questions you may have.
