Washington TRiO Expansion Program (WaTEP)

WaTEP Students

WaTEP is specifically designed for students who:

  • are the first in their families to go to college OR
  • meet federal guidelines for low-income status OR
  • have a recently documented physical or learning disability
  • AND have an academic need

If you are interested in becoming a WaTEP student, please print and fill out our application (PDF).  You may FAX it to us at (360) 867-6360 or mail it to: WaTEP Student Services, The Evergreen State College, Library 2106, 2700 Evergreen Parkway, Olympia, WA 98505. We will verify your eligibility and then contact you regarding the status of your application. Once you're participating, you'll be matched with one primary staff member who will become most familiar with you and will closely follow your progress here at Evergreen. We will meet with you for an informal intake interview to learn more about your background, interests, concerns, needs, and goals. Based on the information you provide, WaTEP staff will make suggestions and referrals and get you started on your pathway to success. Click here to learn more about the services WaTEP provides.
