“F.L.C.’s” Federated Learning Communities Goals: Community, Integrative Learning, and Faculty Development in a Large Class Environment
Vehicle: A cohort of students co-registers for 3 “federated” courses linked by a common theme. In addition, they engage in an integrative seminar. The seminar leader is called the Master Learner, who takes all 3 federated courses with the students. The teachers of the federated courses may choose to participate in the FLC in a variety of ways--or, not at all.
