Evergreen’s Printmaking Studio, located in room 0233 in the basement of Lab 1,
is committed to using techniques and materials that do not harm students or the environment.
The studio emphasizes non-toxic processes including etching, relief, silk screen, plate lithography
and typesetting, and is overseen by half-time Printmaking Technician and adjunct faculty Judith Baumann,
a working artist knowledgable in all aspects of printmaking. The studio serves students enrolled in both full-time
and Evening/Weekend Studies programs, in addition to students persuing independent contracts. For current quarterly hours,
take a look at the schedule.
Full-time offerings in the printmaking studio often include interdisciplinary programs that explore creative writing and bookmaking;
medieval history and typesetting; science-art based programs in lithography and relief, as well as more focused printmaking programs.
Offerings vary from year to year and students are encouraged to consult the catalog for programs and courses featuring printmaking.
