The Art Annex is located adjacent to Lab I and parking Lot B and is open from 7am-11pm Monday through Friday and 8am - 8pm on the weekends. Students enrolled in programs using dedicated studio spaces in the Arts Annex have 24 hour access. A sculpture/ 3D studio resides the first floor, as well as the metal and woodshops. The painting and drawing studios as well as a multi use critique space make up the second floor. A fully equipped ceramics studio and kiln room hug the back of the Annex. The sculpture/ 3D studio is located across from Lab II on the ground floor of the Art Annex. Next to the metal shop and across from the wood shop, the 3D studio is situated for convenient access to meet students sculptural needs. The studio is equipped with two large sinks, 20 ft ceilings with tungsten and florescent lights, and work tables for 25 students.
The second floor of the Art Annex is home to the painting and drawing studios. To accommodate visual arts students, two large painting studios and one smaller studio for independent contracts are dedicated program spaces. The second floor also houses a critique room and a large drawing studio with easels, drawing boards and drawing horses. All rooms except the critique room are suffused with natural light from skylights and windows, as well as being equipped with an adjustable track lighting system.
