Lavender Graduation | The Evergreen State College

Lavender Graduation

The Evergreen Lavender Graduation is an annual ceremony designed for celebrating the academic achievements of graduating Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming, Queer, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Asexual, Agender, Two-Spirit and Intersex students.

It is a time to commemorate our stories of success and contributions to the Evergreen community. The Trans and Queer Center invites you to attend and participate in our first annual Evergreen Lavender Graduation ceremony!

If you would like to participate, we ask graduating seniors to choose a representative to prepare a 2-3 minute introduction about you. Some examples of a representative are a family member, friend, mentor, or faculty member who has worked closely with you.

If you have any concerns, questions, or suggestions about the Evergreen Lavender Graduation ceremony, please contact the Trans and Queer Center in Library 2147. You can also email us or call us at 360-867-6249.

For example, Amira is a first generation college student, Filipino immigrant, queer, nonbinary, femme.
This does include scent sensitivity, language barriers, and allergies
