Carbon Neutrality by 2020
Evergreen's climate action plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2020 was finished in September, 2009. Implementation of the plan has begun. Please refer to our BLOG for updates.

The American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment
President Les Purce is a member of the Leadership Circle of the Presidents Climate Commitment: an agreement to develop a comprehensive plan to achieve climate neutrality as soon as possible.
Evergreen’s Greenhouse Gas Inventory
As part of Evergreen’s commitment to carbon neutrality, we completed our comprehensive carbon inventory. At 5.1 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions per fulltime student, the college’s carbon footprint is less than half the national average for colleges and universities.
