Installing and updating McAfee Anti-virus on your Windows PC: Protecting your computer from viruses is very important, not only for your own work, but it is important for other's as well since most viruses propagate via friends and colleagues of those who are infected. Installing and updating your virus software is a quick and simple step that will help protect your work, and benefit our online community. Please follow the steps below to install the latest version of McAfee Anti-Virus software and to configure your computer to automatically received virus definition updates. If you did not have AV software on your computer, or if your AV software is out of date, this batch file will run an installer of the most current version of McAfee Anti-Virus. Note: McAfee AV software can only be installed on TESC machines that are located on campus. If you have TESC computer at your home without anti-virus software installed please call our helpdesk at (360-867) x6627.
Once the installer is finished your computer will automatically receive up to date virus definitions. You may be asked to reboot your computer. |
