Other Information

Academic Fair

4-6pm, May 16, 2012  @ College Recreation Center/Gymnasium

The Academic Fair, held in The College Recreation Center Gymnasium, brings faculty and staff together in one place to help students get information about Evergreen's undergraduate and graduate offerings. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet with faculty to discuss both summer and fall programs and courses.  It also provides an opportunity to get information about registration and advice about your academic plans.

E-mail Policy

All students, both admitted and non-admitted, are given an Evergreen e-mail account. This e-mail account is the primary mechanism for official college communications to students, including registration and student account information, announcements of official college policies, and general announcements and information. As part of their responsibility to work with the college to manage their business and enrollment issues, students are expected to check their college e-mail account on a regular basis.

Individual Study Contracts

Contracts for individual learning and internships can be created online by choosing the 'Individual Study Contracts' link at my.evergreen.edu. Follow the online instructions for the development and approval process for your contract.

Contracts are registered for the quarter, not per session, and must be submitted (including faculty approval and submission of any associated signatures) by the Friday of the first week of the quarter (June 24, 2011) to avoid late registration fees. All contracts must be submitted online. Non-admitted students may need to contact the Registration and Records office to be given access to my.evergreen.edu. A contract will not be registered until it has been reviewed and approved by an academic dean or the appropriate graduate program director.

For more information about planning individual and internship learning contracts, call the Academic Advising Office at (360) 867-6312 or visit www.evergreen.edu/individualstudy.

All vehicles parked at The Evergreen State College from 7 am to 9 pm, Monday through Friday, are required to display a valid Evergreen parking permit. A summer parking permit costs $40. Daily permits are $2.00. Permits may be purchased at the Parking Office, Seminar I building, room 2150. Daily passes may be purchased at the parking booth on McCann Plaza.

Registration Approvals/Overrides

Programs and courses listed in the catalog may cite prerequisites, faculty signature requirements, or class standing restrictions. If a faculty signature is required or if a student does not have the required class level, the student must contact the faculty to receive an approval or override. Students may obtain a dated faculty signature to register in person. If Web-registering, the approval or class override must be entered prior to registration. See prerequisites in the Summer Class Listing for more information.
