Intensive Language & Culture Program
Students may combine any Language program with any Theme-Based Program to form their own track.
Intermediate Level Offered Fall, Winter & Spring Quarters
Advanced Level Offered in Summer Quarter
Study Spanish language intensively through class work, lecture, seminars, workshops, field trips and cultural events. Study of Latin American culture is integrated into language instruction and incorporates historical, anthropological, political, and economic dimensions. The program is taught completely in Spanish with homestay family lodging to maximize opportunities for oral fluency.
Program Components
- Full 10-week quarter of language & culture study based in Quito, Ecuador
- Program taught completely in Spanish
- Field trips
- Homestays with Ecuadorian families
- On-site orientation
- Optional quarter-long internship following successful completion of the program.
