Getting Paid
Time Sheets
On-campus student employees should submit completed time sheets to their supervisors/employers immediately after the end of each pay period. Employee, supervisor and account manager signatures are required in ink and must be dated on or after the last day employee hours are worked.
- Time Sheet (PDF)
- Time Sheet Calculating (Excel)
If you're using the calculating version of the timesheet, be sure to input the times you start and end your work shift using a colon between the hours and minutes in 24-hour time. The hours will total automatically!
TIP: Save a blank copy of the calculating timesheet to your disk or folder to use during each pay period.
Picking up Paychecks
Paychecks may be picked up at the Cashier's Office on College pay dates. If a paycheck has been in the Cashier's Office for three or more working days, the check will be mailed to the address on file.
Please note that since the Payroll system is different from the main college information system, you need to keep your address current in both places. We hope to simplify this in 2010.

Pay Dates
Time sheets are due to your supervisor on the 15th (or closest work day to the 15th) and the end of the last working day of the month so that you can be paid on the college's pay dates.
Work Hours Calendar
Dates when you may work more than 19 hours per week are on the Work Hours Calendar. (Your schedule will depend on your supervisor's schedule and resources!)
Note: Students working on holidays receive straight time - not time-and-a-half.
Meal Break and Rest Period Requirements
Student Employees (like classified employees) are required to take rest and meal breaks according to Washington State and L&I regulations.
Minimum Wage
The Washington State Minimum Wage is higher than the Federal minimum wage, so it supersedes the Federal amount.
FICA Deductions
Undergraduate students registered half-time or more (6 Undergraduate credits or 3 Graduate credits) are exempt from the 7.65% FICA deductions.
Income Tax Deductions
Your income tax rate will be calculated based on the information you placed on your W-4 forms. If you have further questions please contact the Payroll Office at (360) 867-6460.
