Wayne Garrett Kostin Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide encouragement and assistance to students who have demonstrated a strong personal commitment to working towards a more just, accepting, and peaceful society through volunteer work, activism, political/community participation, and/or other means.

Offered to new or currently enrolled gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender students with at least sophomore standing attending full time.

Requirements

• Letter of application, not to exceed two pages, detailing your qualifications for this scholarship and how you plan to use your Evergreen education to improve your community/society.
• One or two letters of recommendation written within the past year from individuals familiar with your demonstrated commitment to encouraging understanding and acceptance in our society.
