Jessica Kelso Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to help a full time, currently enrolled undergraduate student who has completed at least three quarters at Evergreen to travel and study abroad as part of an approved course of study. The applicant should demonstrate a commitment to furthering international understanding through appreciation of similarities and celebration of differences. While there are no specific income or resource eligibility requirements, the intent is to help a student who would have great difficulty financing such travel solely with personal or family resources. The scholarship will support travel and study in the lesser-developed areas of the world. Generally, the scholarship will not support travel to Canada, Western Europe, Japan, Australia or New Zealand, although exceptions might be made for students planning to study in particularly remote or underdeveloped areas.
Requirements
- Letter of application consisting of one typed, single-spaced page describing what you expect from your travels.
- Two letters of recommendation written within the past year, at least one of which must be from an Evergreen faculty member who is familiar with your work and aspirations.
