Introduction to Crevasse Rescue
(REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION IN ALL TOP MOUNTAINEERING TRIPS)

This is an introductory class on fundamental crevasse rescue. We’ll stay on campus for a day of practicing the rope systems necessary to safely extract a climber from a crevasse. Techniques such as the C Drag and Z Drag will be taught and practiced. Equipment provided by TOP. This is a required class for all TOP Mountaineering trip participants.

What to Bring: Dress for the weather as part of this will be outside. Warm gloves are recommended. If you have your own sit harness you are welcome to bring it
