Course Description

The self-massage to music is a class emphasizing positive energy. When you feel better you have more energy to do what you want to do and need to do in your life. This 15 minute massage is designed to awaken and invigorate the muscles in your body by a massage you learn to perform on yourself. After you learn the massage strokes and pattern, you’ll then learn to select appropriate music to help you keep pace with the massage strokes. Besides feeling good, it’s a lot of fun and helps relieve stress. You’ll enjoy learning to perform a self-massage to music, which is designed to help you keep a rhythmic pace while performing the massage. The self-massage techniques are taught in two ways: as your day begins or before you’d participate in any activity or sport to help energize you; and after a long day or a workout to help relieve sore muscles or just to wind down, relax and relieve stress. Used by Olympic athletes, as well as individuals participating in any sport, this massage can make a positive difference in your overall performance in sports. Whether you do sports or not, come learn an easy way to increase your energy level and be ready for the new day. Students should leave class feeling better and more relaxed than when they arrived. Wear comfortable clothing.
