Recreation Mission: To serve the community in a way that is inclusive and healthy through recreational, cultural, social, and lifelong learning opportunities.

Vision for Recreation: Create a vitally connected community and quality of life through people and programs. Build bridges across differences both internal and external to the campus. Enhance the student experience through personal enrichment, learning, employment, and/or revenue streams to support programs and activities.

Swimming Lessons

Kids love swimming lessons at Evergreen.

The Evergreen State College Swimming Program strives to offer a wide variety of instructional and recreation programming to the college and greater Olympia communities.

Lessons emphasize swimming skills, endurance, personal safety, and social skills while providing students with encouragement from SwimAmerica and Red Cross trained volunteers.
