Quiet
Quiet Housing was created for residents who requested an environment that will remain quiet for study, sleep and recreation. Residents and their guests agree to low noise levels regardless of the time of day or day of the week.
Designated quiet hours in Quiet housing:
- Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.
- Friday and Saturday from midnight to 10 a.m.
Residential and Dining Services expects residents living in Quiet housing to confront noise violations in their living space, hallways and entryways. If this confrontation is unsuccessful, contact your Resident Assistant or Police Services.
Residents who create a noise disturbance in Quiet Housing will receive a warning and/or be referred to arbitration to be held accountable to the community noise standards. If residents are unable or unwilling to resolve their dispute, it may result in their removal from the Quiet Housing community.

Please understand that these housing areas have no additional allergen protections beyond our standard practices which include low/no-VOC paint and environmentally friendly cleaning supplies. Information about mold prevention (which can be an issue in this climate, particularly in a community located among so many trees) is available.

- Residents or guests may not be under the influence of alcohol or any illicit drugs while present in Substance Free Housing.
