Contract Options

The Rental Contract

• The best choice for most students.
• A traditional contract for housing.
• You rent one bed and Residential and Dining Services assigns roommates to your living unit.
• You can transfer to another room or building during your contract.
• Your rent is based on the bed you occupy.
• You can request roommates on your application; they must also request you.
• Roommate(s) not specifically requested are matched as nearly to your application's roommate matching criteria as possible.

Family Housing

• For married students and their families.
• For students with registered domestic partnerships.
• For single parents with one or more dependent children.
• Contact the Residential and Dining Services Office for more information.

Contract Lengths

1. Fall contracts are for the full 10-month academic year.
2. Winter contracts are for winter and spring quarters.
3. Spring contracts are for spring quarter.
4. Summer Residential and Dining Services contracts are available for:
   • Full Summer Session
   • First Summer Session
   • Second Summer Session
   • Interim periods for those staying in housing from spring to summer, or summer to fall.
