Tuition and Billing for the PLE Program
Tuition for 4 credits of Writing from Life and up to 16 credits of PLE Document Writing will be due the Wednesday before the start of each quarter, the same as for any other program or course.
Billing for tuition and posting of credit for PLE credits above the 16 earned in the PLE Document Writing course will occur in the following manner:
- the Dean will receive the completed document and the faculty evaluation by week 6 of the quarter following completion of the PLE document;
- the Dean will notify Student Accounts regarding the number of credits awarded (beyond 16);
- the Student Accounts office will bill the student for the additional credits;
- the student will have 30 days from the receipt of the tuition bill to pay for these credits (reasonable extensions may be granted by the Dean);
- when payment is received, Student Accounts will notify the Dean and Registrar;
- the Dean will submit the faculty evaluation to the Registrar's Office for the posting of the additional PLE credit;
- if payment has not been received or an extension has not been filed within 45 days of billing date, the student will be notified by mail that her/his filed has been closed and additional credits will not be awarded.
- Additional credits (awarded above the 16 earned through the PLE Document Writing course) will be billed at the tuition rate of 16 credits per quarter.
- Credits earned above 16 will be billed according to the student's residency status at the time the PLE document is completed.
- Financial Aid may apply to 4 credits of Writing from Life and up to 16 credits of PLE Document Writing, but not to additional credits above 16 that may be earned for the PLE document.
