Today’s business firms are radically different from the organizations of the past. Organizational leaders are facing unprecedented challenges (i.e., technological, global, political, legal, generational, etc.). Organizational leaders, therefore, must be able to change, adapt, and create cultures that are positive, resilient, and nimble. In this course, students will learn to become effective leaders and make a difference in their work community.  Topics covered in this class include strategic thinking, organizational culture, creativity and innovation, change management, resiliency, and organizational agility. This class provides students with the opportunity to think critically, reflect, collaborate, and learn through individual and group activities including assessments, cases, discussions and seminars, research, and a final paper and presentation.

This class will have a significant online component, with some class meetings conducted via Zoom and learning activities conducted through Canvas. The faculty will offer alternative assignments if conditions or illness prevent students from accessing our synchronous meetings, which will allow students to earn comparable credit.
