Heck Family Scholarship

Offered to a new freshman entering Evergreen Fall Quarter who is a high school senior attending a Thurston County high school. Applicants must be the first in their family to attend college and have a demonstrated zero Expected Family Contribution based on a FAFSA or WAFSA determination. Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate the capacity to overcome hardship.
- Letter of application no longer than two pages outlining how you meet the criteria above. In addition, address your financial need and how receiving the scholarship will impact your ability to stay in college.
- Two letters of recommendation supporting your application.
- FAFSA or WASFA (see How to Apply #4).
Note: Recipient must be willing to commit to providing feedback about the impact of the scholarship on his or her ability to complete a degree at Evergreen and/or other subsequent institutions during the year of the award and up until graduation.
