Regional climate change conference at Evergreen Feb. 11

The Evergreen State College is hosting a one-day conference focusing on climate change and how it affects Washington state, featuring three distinguished keynote speakers and other events. The conference takes place Friday, Feb. 11.

Evergreen’s Graduate Program in Environmental Studies, the National Association of Environmental Professionals and Climate Solutions, a northwest non-profit organization, are sponsoring the conference. Dr. John Perkins, director of Evergreen’s Environmental Studies graduate program will open the event.

The event begins at 8:15 a.m. in Lecture Hall 1 on the Evergreen campus in Olympia, and concludes at 5 p.m. The conference is free of charge to college and university students, faculty or staff members, $15 for seniors, and $25 for the general public. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m.
