Publishing: FTP

There are many different ways to publish using File Transfer Protocol (FTP). This document describes an example of publishing using WS_FTP, an ftp client commonly used on this campus. The concepts are the same when using any kind of ftp client (e.g. WS_FTP or Fetch).

  1. In the Host Name field, make sure the correct site is specified (e.g. www.evergreen.edu or academic.evergreen.edu)
  2. In the User ID field specify specify your evergreen.edu user name. (.e.g. metzlerd or greima20)
  3. In the Password field, specify your evergreen.edu account password
  4. Press OK.

Be careful to specify the correct file type. Images need to be transferred using the Binary file transfer.
