Video Editing
Sound-isolated editing suites are available for linear (tape-to-tape) and non-linear (computer-based) editing. They are available 24 hours. Scheduling for the suites is done through Media Loan.
Non-linear editing is also done in the Multimedia Lab where a consultant is always available. Scheduling stations in the Multimedia Lab is done only in the Multimedia Lab, Lib 1404.
- DV Linear — Lib 1526 & 1504 — "cuts only" tape-to-tape editing with titling
- DV Non-linear — Lib 1522 & 1524 — computer-based editing using Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Aftereffects, etc.
- Multimedia Lab — Lib 1404 — assisted lab environment with Final Cut Pro, iMovie, iDVD, After Effects, Peak, Digital Performer and lots of other cool apps.
Access to these facilities is coordinated by completing a Media Request Form at the beginning of the quarter.
Television Studio
The Color Television Studio is off-line during the remodel of the Library Building (starting
August 2005).
