The Sound and Image Library (SAIL) provides multimedia materials and staff to support academic endeavors of patrons on and off campus.

Anyone can browse and use our collection of LP's, CD's, audio cassettes, slides, VHS video tapes, and DVD's while in the SAIL.

Videos, DVDs, and laserdiscs can be checked out by faculty and students only; the rest of our collection (with the exception of the 16mm film collection) is available to checkout by community borrowers as well.

Equipment available for use in the SAIL includes

  • audio and video listening and viewing stations
  • DVD, CD, and VHS duplicators
  • audio and visual transfer equipment (LP to CD or cassette and DVD to VHS tape)
  • 35mm slide viewers

We have a 16 mm film collection (searchable through the library catalog). This collection is available to faculty and students (faculty signature is required to borrow films).

Our staff of professionals and students are knowledgeable about the physical resources in the SAIL and the subject matter covered by these materials. We are here to assist with locating, retrieving, using and transferring multimedia materials.
