Equipment and Labor Rates


While planning your event, plan to contact Electronic Media at least two to three weeks prior to your event date.
We would like to know of your event even if you do not have all of the details finalized. Advance notice will ensure that your event flows as trouble-free as possible. Production request cost estimates will be based on the technical requirements of the individual job. An estimate will be provided prior to accepting the job.

Current Evergreen students, staff, and faculty may check out some materials through Media Loan for class-related needs. Contact either Media Loan at (360) 867-6253 or Electronic Media at (360) 867-6270 for more information.

NOTE: If your event is charging admission or asking for any type of a donation, you must contact Electronic Media to produce your event. You will be charged for all materials used through Media Loan whether they are checked out through you or Electronic Media.

  • Academic & Campus events include: students, faculty, and staff on campus supporting the college mission whether charging admission or not.
  • Commercial & External events include: conferences, alumni and all other users, including individuals, groups attending conferences on campus, or state agencies requesting service.

Changes in production requests. All productions will be planned, negotiated, and estimates provided in advance. Due to the limited amount of equipment available on a first-come-first-served basis, you will be charged for equipment you have requested and that has been reserved for you unless there is a malfunction. Please plan accordingly.

 

There willl be a two hour minimum for most job requests.

Weekend and some evening jobs will require two person media crews.

At Evergreen our priority is to our academic community. Electronic Media will provide duplication services to faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students. Occasionally services are also provided for external state agencies and projects generated by clients through Conference Services. Contact Electronic Media at (360) 867-6270 for more information. We do not provide media or duplication services to the general public.

Duplication Policy:

Electronic Media will provide labor for one academically related duplicated copy--up to two formats on the same duplication pass (for example, you may bring in a VHS orignial and recieve one DV and one DVD copy as they can be created at the same time(--at no charge excluding materials. You must either provide all materials or purchase materials through us at the rates listed below.

All associated permissions must be cleared and proof presented when necessary. We will not duplicate copyrighted materials without proper permission.

Requests for more than one copy of an original source will be charged at the rates below. You must provide all blank media materials or purchase them at the rates listed under BLANK MEDIA. Please call Electronic Media at (360) 867-6270 for additional information. 

Some services are available for current media studies students, faculty, and staff to create on their own at no charge (such as DV to DVD). Contact Electronic Media at (360) 867-6270 or the Sound and Image Library (SAIL) at (360) 867-6087 for additional information. Members of the community may contact the SAIL for some duplication procedures at no cost.

  1. Plan accordingly. Read through the following list and be prepared to wait. Requests are processed on a first-come first-served basis.
  2. Bring your duplication request and materials to Electronic Media.
  3. We will print out a work request.
  4. If you need to purchase materials you must take the printout to the cashier to pay the balance. Be prepared for potentially long lines--especially at the beginning of a new quarter.
  5. Bring the receipt back to Electronic Media.
  6. Drop off all of your materials including original(s) and blank(s). Orders requiring payment will not be accepted until you show a receipt from the Evergreen cashier.
  7. We will give you a copy of the request.
  8. We will process the request.
  9. Be prepared to wait up to 10 business days. As this is generally a free service or a partially-free service in most cases, please be prepared to wait.
  10. You will be contacted by phone or email when the order is ready for pickup. You may check in with us after a couple of days to see if the request has been completed.
  11. You may request a rush order for an additional $25. This will move your request up the queue and we'll try to complete the request within three business days.
Non-film transfers under 60 minutes
