The Washington State History Museum and The Evergreen State College Longhouse Education and Cultural Center have partnered to bring the In the Spirit Northwest Native Arts Market and Festival to downtown Tacoma at the Washington State History Museum.

Honoring our Ancestors and Honoring Innovations are new awards for 2008. The prizes will be selected by the artists in the show to recognize accomplishment by their peers

ON THE PLAZA
The Arts Market & Festival features some of the best Native American Artists in the region selling exquisite artworks. Throughout the weekend Native American singers, musicians, and dance groups will provide entertainment.
Back by popular demand, will be a special collectors seminar and art appraisals. The seminar is designed to help patrons select and collect quality Native American artworks.
Specialty food vendors will be on hand to introduce festival-goers to Native American cuisine. For the low cost of admission, there will be family storytelling programs and art demonstrations inside the museum.
