Resource Selection Committee
The Acquisitions Department
of the Library is responsible for ordering monographic and non-print material
for the library collection. Gift material is also received in Acquisitions.
Materials are ordered for the collection using the WLN
Acquisitions System. The library's Collection Development Policy
is established by a group called the Resource Selection Committee.
Librarians, faculty, staff and students help to develop the collection
by submitting requests. The library also makes use of an approval
plan to help collect newly published, academic material, as quickly as
possible.
