Gifts The Evergreen library welcomes selected gifts that enhance our collection. Librarians review the gifts prior to adding them to the collection. Gifts become the property of the Friends of the Evergreen State College Library once they are donated.
Donors are asked to fill out a Friends of the Evergreen State College Library Donor Form. Donors can specify on the form whether they would like to have their donated materials, which are not retained, returned to them, discarded or left to the library's discretion. Left to the library's discretion gifts are either donated to another local library, discarded if in poor condition or sold at Super Saturday. Proceeds from material sold at Super Saturday, our one-day celebration in June, are put into the Friends of the Library account to be spent on library material.
Federal tax regulations prohibit us from giving appraisals of material donated to the library. We do, however, acknowledge the number and type of material donated at the donor's request.
