Alumni Surveys

The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment administers alumni surveys to:

  • assess student learning;
  • find out more about alumni employment and advanced education;
  • gauge the level of alumni satisfaction with their Evergreen experience;
  • and to gather suggestions for improvements to the college.

All of the following reports are in pdf format unless otherwise noted.

Advanced Education, Employment, Volunteerism, and Reflections on an Evergreen Education: A Survey of the Class of 1999 Five Years After Graduation

Key findings:

  • 51% of the alumni had attended graduate or professional school.
  • 17% of the respondents had earned a graduate degree (either a master's degree or doctorate).
  • The largest categories of employment were: Education/Library (20% of reported jobs), Community and Social Service (12%), Business Management (7%), and Business Operations (6%).
Greeners at Work: A Survey of Alumni Three Years After Graduation

Greeners at Work 2003 is a survey research project studying how Evergreen prepares its graduates for the workplace. Greeners at Work consists of a survey of alumni who graduated in 1999-2000 and a survey of alumni supervisors. You can also view a Executive Report.

2004 Alumni Survey: A Survey of Alumni One Year After Graduation

Key Findings:

  • 81% of graduates are employed;
  • 28% are attending or have been accepted to graduate or professional school;
  • 90% would choose to attend Evergreen again if they could start college over;
  • 41% are first generation degree-completers;
  • 34% are involved in volunteer work
