TOP Floor

Join a group of Evergreen students who live together and participate in outdoor adventures and leadership opportunities through the The Outdoor Program (TOP).

All Evergreen students are encouraged to participate in The Outdoor Program, however, living on the TOP Floor provides a more focused environment around these opportunities. As a member of this community, you get access to many activities at a significantly reduced cost, plus a TOP hoodie! Students who would like to live on the TOP Floor must submit an application expressing their interest. 2014-15 is the first year RAD and TOP are partnering to provide a TOP Floor program for returning students in the apartments on campus.

To be considered for the TOP Floor community, students must submit an application expressing their interest. The application is currently offline for the fall 2014 school year.

Freshmen: You get to live on the top floor of A Building in the residence halls.

Returning Students: You get to live on the top floor of T-building in the apartments.

Resident Expectations

  • A non-refundable fee of $200 is charged to your Evergreen student account to help cover the costs of activities.
  • You must participate in the Orientation Week Challenge Course Adventure and the Orientation.
  • Participate in the creation of a Living Learning Agreement (LLA) with roommates, facilitated by a Resident Assistant (RA), to ensure each resident’s needs are met within your living space.

As a community of residents, partner with RAD Services and your RA to plan one program per quarter to be advertised to the entire residential community in order to connect students to outdoor leadership opportunities.  Varying degrees of participation exist in the program planning and implementation process based on each student’s skill set and level of comfort.

Our goal of creating intentional, supportive environments for students around outdoor leadership depends on residents’ level of participation, feedback and leadership within this community. With ongoing input, effective communication, and active participation, we can keep this positive momentum going for future residents.
