This page will be updated each quarter with the groups that are being offered by Student Wellness Services

Groups Offered via Student Wellness Services Fall 2017

Students interested in attending groups can get signed up in Student Wellness Services (Sem 1 2150) via Drop In. Groups typically start after Week 3 of each quarter.

Ecotherapy Group Mondays 12-1pm

This group will utilize both time spent outdoors, including mindful forest walks, and time spent gathered inside for group process and building skills to help us cope with stress, anxiety, and depression.

Grief & Loss Support Group Tuesdays 4-5:30 pm

This group offers you a safe place to be yourself and feel what you feel while getting support and understanding from other students who are experiencing grief/loss after the death of a loved one.

Facilitators: Leslie Johnson, MSW & Beth Schuurmans, Graduate Intern

Mindful Self Compassion Wednesdays 3:30-5pm

This groups is designed to cultivate psychological stability and flexibility, learning methods to develop a healthier perspective and relationship with self. 

Facilitators: Jamyang Tsultrim, LMHT & Lexi Alberts, Graduate Intern

Trauma Support Group Thursdays 4-5:30pm 

This group looks to both process trauma, as well as build a toolkit for coping with PTSD by utilizing art and narrative practice. 

Facilitators: Quinn Russell, MS & Will Zogg, Graduate Intern

LGBTQ Relationship Skills Group Thursdays 6-7:30pm 

This group will work with communication and conflict resolution skills, as well as address intimate partner violence and bystander skills for students who identify on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum.

Facilitators: Quinn Russell, MA of SWS & Amira Caluya, MSW of TQC

**For the LGBTQ skills group, interested students can sign up in either Student Wellness Services or the TQC.

7 Challenges Time TBD (based on students schedules)

Provides a framework to help you think through decisions about life and use of alcohol and other drugs
